Prime Minister Narendra Modi is spending his 69th birthday in his home state of Gujarat on Tuesday.

Narendra Modi, who reached his home state late on Monday night, flew to Sardar Sarovar Dam in Kevadia. He visited the dam, which he inaugurated in 2017, at a time when its water levels have reached the highest mark of 138.68 metres for the first time.

Before that, the Prime Minister shared a video of the Statue of Unity in Kevadia of Narmada district. Modi had inaugurated the statue,billed as the tallest in the world, on the birth anniversary of India’ first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s on October 31 last year.

“Have a look at the majestic ‘Statue of Unity’, India’s tribute to the great Sardar Patel,” PM Modi tweeted along with a 1:30-minute video. Modi also spent some time at the Khalvani Eco-Tourism siteand a cactus garden in Kevadiya. He was accompanied by Gujarat Governor AcharyaDevvrat and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
